ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando’s Ripley Believe It or Not museum will host a series of events inspired by iconic Hollywood figure Marilyn Monroe. The museum recently set the Guinness World Record after purchasing “the most expensive dress” at an auction, worn Monroe for nearly $5 million. The sparkly dress made its debut in 1962 at Madison Square Garden, where she famously sang “Happy Birthday” to the President John F. Kennedy. The historic dress is on display until January.

Ripley’s Believe or It Not will have a free Monroe movie night on Dec. 2. The museum will show “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,” where Monroe plays a showgirl engaged to a wealthy man. The movie is expected to start at 7 p.m.
