LAKE COUNTY, Fla – In Lake County, schools will enact later dismissal on Wednesdays in order to make up for classroom time lost when schools in the area closed on Sept. 2 due to weather concerns.
The later dismissal time will last for five weeks, starting on Oct. 5 through Nov. 2.

In addition, the School Board will allow non-instructional employees to make up for the time lost on Sep. 2 by using leave for work hours.
School was canceled in Lake County on Sept. 2 as Hurricane Hermine hit the panhandle.
