WATCH: Fight erupts at giant ‘floatilla’ party in Volusia County

Newly-released video shows a massive brawl in Volusia County.

The incident happened Saturday in what was billed as a “huge flotilla-gathering” called Mayhem at Lake George 2022.

About 800 people attended on Lake George, which is northwest of Pierson.

Several people standing in knee-deep water were seen throwing punches near the DJ barge, according to video from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

It’s unclear what started the fight.

Authorities said they made a number of arrests.

Several citations and warnings were also handed out, officials said.

Mayhem at Lake George 2022: 5/7/22

Volusia deputies along with our partners from MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife, Seminole County Sheriff's Office, Orange County Sheriff's Office, Florida, Lake County Sheriff's Office, St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, County of Volusia Fire and the U.S. Coast Guard were on the water today for the "Mayhem at Lake George 2022" event. Arrests were made and several citations and warnings were issued.
