BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A Merritt Island woman was arrested on accusations she was running an anti-aging clinic without a proper medical license, deputies said.

According to the Florida Department of Health, Anna Ferrara, 65, was providing services such as injecting Botox and non-FDA approved medications into patients’ joints, necks and faces.

Deputies said Ferrara was performing these treatments while acting as a licensed medical physician at Coastal Med Spa Anti-Aging Clinic in Merritt Island.

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said the Department of Health sent out two notices for Ferrara to stop, but she continued anyway.

Ferrara was arrested Sunday but has since bonded out of jail.
