VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office announced that Verizon wireless customers are having problems contacting 911.
The law enforcement agency said they have been able to hear callers, but the callers have not been able to hear them, according to a tweet sent out by the sheriff’s office.

Verizon is aware of the issue and is working to fix it, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office asks if this happens to you, to hang up and they will you call right back.
