OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A 53-year-old Kissimmee man was killed on Tuesday evening in a hit-and-run crash out of Osceola County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 7:42 p.m. along West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, near Old Vineland Road.
A crash report shows that the man was walking north across the highway outside of a marked crosswalk, ending up in the direct path of an oncoming vehicle.
As a result, the vehicle struck the man, and he died at the scene, the report states. Investigators said the vehicle fled afterward.

Troopers explained that there were no reported witnesses to the crash at the scene, and so there is no additional information about the car or driver involved.
A roadblock was set up for the westbound lanes of West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway following the crash. That blockage has since been cleared.
