OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – For “Little Big Mountain,” home is at the Jororo Native Village inside Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures park.
He is of the Comanche Nation from his father’s side and First Nations Federal Mohawk from his mother’s side, and he calls himself an “edutainer” because he’s very passionate about educating about his culture.
“There are dances, there are languages, everything is different,” Little said.
From handmade stone tools to a large canoe, it’s all part of an experience that takes you back to hundreds of years of history.
‘Camouflage. I used two snakes here. These are actually banded water snakes, so this is a nonvenomous snake and so the question is did I eat the snakes? Yes. Of course, I did,” he said.
Little explained that Jororo means “people of the owl” and he welcomes all people to his village who want to learn and explore.
“We have our own history which is verbal history and being able to speak — gives us a lot of opportunity to tell the truth about our native people,” he said.
The Jororo tribe lived in the Kissimmee Valley before the Spanish came to Florida in the 1500s.
