DeLAND, Fla. – There was increased law enforcement activity in DeLand on Wednesday after a reported stabbing, according to the police department.
In a release, police said that officers and Volusia County deputies responded to the area of East New York Avenue.

The stabbing was reported in the 300 block of E. New York Avenue and the victim suffered what appeared to be minor injuries, the release states.
Police added that the suspect was located taken into custody afterward, though the suspect’s identity was not provided.
