ORLANDO, Fla. – This weekend, you can catch a show where a live band acts as a narrator, and two strangers learn to connect using more than words.

It’s all part of the inaugural Collective Incubator Program at Orlando Fringe’s Fringe ArtSpace: Without Fear Theatre showcase.

“The Collective Incubator Program was an initiative and the brain-child of our recently former Executive Director, Alauna Friskics. I, along with some members of my staff and board made up the selection committee for The Collective and all were quite inspired by Without Fear Theatre,” said Desiree Montes, Orlando Fringe Artistic and Marketing Director.

“Their organization’s mission, creativity, and spirit of collaboration made them ideal candidates for this program. Their mission statement: Without Fear Theatre’s mission is to uplift the Central Florida community by exclusively producing new works that feature live music and are created by local artists in a highly collaborative creative process. Every new production has a charitable giving initiative,” Montes explained.

“FIND ME: A Modern Rock Opera” is a neurodiversity-affirming story about a woman named, Allie, waiting to meet someone she’s never met before. When she finally arrives, she’s nothing like Allie imagined. A live band acts as narrator, inner voice, spirit guide, and kid’s TV show.

The show explores the most vulnerable relationship we have with ourselves.

Cat Cutenese plays the character, Autumn.

“Autumn is a character that is so uniquely herself and is not at all afraid to show her true colors. As life goes on, I find myself more and more comfortable in my own skin like Autumn. She’s a person that knows what she likes and I am very much that way as well,” said Cutenese.

“FIND ME” is written and directed by Amanda Scheirer, with music and lyrics by Dan Drnach.

“What audiences can expect from Find Me, is an overall heartfelt look at what it may be like to discover your neurodivergence in your adulthood, and how one navigates that discovery through a feel-good, lighthearted lens,” Montes said.

Opening night starts at 6:30 p.m. tonight with a reception, champagne toast, and bar discounts.

The show runs through March 3. Click here for ticket information.
