School bus, Access Lynx bus collide in Kissimmee

2 students taken to the hospital

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Two buses traveling in the Kissimmee area collided Friday afternoon, with two students getting taken to the hospital.

The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m. in the area of Celebration Boulevard and World Drive.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, an Osceola County school bus going eastbound on Celebration Boulevard turned into the path of the Access Lynx bus, which was going westbound, when the school bus was trying to turn onto World Drive. Serious damage was seen on the Access Lynx bus, according to photos from a viewer.

Troopers say the drivers of the two buses were not hurt and remained on scene. There were 40 students on the school bus, and two were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. There were no passengers on the Access Lynx bus.

FHP is still investigating the crash.
