27 year-old man faces charges in girlfriend’s death in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 27-year-old man faces manslaughter charges after his girlfriend died from an “apparent battery,” according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they responded to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs on Aug. 6 around 7 p.m. regarding a domestic violence victim who was dropped off at the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to a news release, the incident happened in the 3200 block of Kelvington Drive. Deputies did not say when the battery allegedly happened.

Deputies said the woman died of her injuries the next day.

According to the release, the woman’s boyfriend, identified as Robert Wayne Lloyd Lewis, was arrested on Aug. 13. He faces a charge of manslaughter in connection to the woman’s death, deputies said.
