ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was stabbed and killed early Sunday in Orange County, deputies said.
The fatal stabbing, initially reported as a shooting, happened around 1 a.m. to a reported shooting out of the 4800 block of West Pine Street, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies on Monday identified the man as Michael Dearius Thomas Jr., 37,
“During the investigation, the incident was determined to be a stabbing and not a shooting. All parties involved are accounted for and there is no threat to the community. This is still an active and ongoing investigation,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
No other details have been released.
