ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – UPDATE: A missing 12-year-old Orange County girl has been found safe, deputies said Thursday.

“We are happy to report that 12-year-old Kaniyah Abrams has been located, and she is safe,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post.

ORIGINAL STORY: Orange County deputies are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 12-year-old girl last seen early Wednesday morning.

Deputies said Kaniyah Abrams was last seen in the area of Magnolia Homes Road and Edgewater Drive around 1:50 a.m.

According to a news release, Abrams has black hair and brown eyes, stands 4 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds.

Deputies said Abrams was last seen wearing a white or black shirt, black shorts, and red, white and blue Nautica sandals. She has her hair in a sideways braid.
