Orlando Pride choose goalie Ashlyn Harris in expansion draft

Team completes trade for Alex Morgan

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Pride selected 10 players through the National Women's Soccer League expansion draft Monday, including U.S. Women's National Team goalie Ashlyn Harris.

The Pride's first pick, Meghan Klingenberg, was traded to the Portland Thorns as part of a trade for forward Alex Morgan.

Harris, who played for the Washington Spirit, is a Satellite Beach native.

"We're really pleased with our selections in today's draft," Pride head coach Tom Sermanni said.  "After carefully analyzing the list of unprotected players, we feel very confident that we've chosen a core group of players that will help make this team very competitive in the club's inaugural season."
