Police investigating break-ins at Orlando airport parking lot

Dozens of cars burglarized at The Parking Spot

ORLANDO, Fla. – Police are investigating after 38 cars were broken into at The Parking Spot near the Orlando International Airport. It happened overnight on Tuesday, and Evelyn Bracho just found out she was one of the victims.

"I just got to my car and I found it covered in a plastic, and the person who dropped me off told me to just go ahead and talk to management, and it turns out there was a break-in," Bracho said.

She said nothing of value was taken from her car, which she finds surprising.

"All I'm missing is a phone charger. I had an iPad and all my documents and stuff are still here. It just looks like it gotten broken into," she said.

She said management has been very accommodating. They offered to pay for the window that was broken and also waived her parking fees.

"We just talked about how they're going to take care of things for me. I didn't get any other details. I have a police report, and they said I can make a complaint and contact them," Bracho said.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened there. Police came out to investigate after seven other vehicles were reportedly broken into earlier in the month.

We asked The Parking Spot about that, and they issued this statement to News Six:

"The Parking Spot is working closely with guests impacted by the break-ins at the Orlando International Airport location. In response to an uptick in similar crimes in the immediate vicinity, The Parking Spot has taken immediate action to increase the safety of the lots."
