Road rage leads to shooting in Altamonte Springs

Police searching for suspect

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Police are looking for the driver of a black Honda after a road-rage incident started on Ronald Reagan Boulevard near the intersection of State Road 46 in Altamonte Springs around 4 p.m.

Officers said that during that road-rage incident someone inside the black Honda fired several shots at a dark blue Toyota Tacoma. A man inside the Tacoma was taken to a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds, but is expected to survive.

The suspect took off west on Central Parkway before turning north on Douglas Avenue. It's not clear at this time if the driver of the Honda fired the shots, or if they were fired by the female passenger also inside.

"Obviously it's the holiday season, a lot of cars on the road, a lot of traffic on the road," said Evelyn Estevez with Altamonte Springs police. "We just ask everybody to bring patience when coming out to shop."
