ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Pride announced its complete season roster during the opening week of the 2016 National Women’s Soccer League, according to Major League Soccer's website.
The season will begin on Sunday evening when the 18-player team travels to face Portland Thorns at 10 p.m. Eastern Time at Providence Park.

"Pride has signed midfielder Sam Witteman, the Club’s first-ever selection in the 2016 NWSL College Draft. Per team and league policies, terms of the contact were not announced," according to the site.
"Witteman was selected 10th overall out of the University of California. A versatile midfielder, Witteman made at least one start in seven different positions in her senior season at Berkeley. Witteman, 22, started 22 games in her final season at California, scoring four goals, all of them game-winners, and notching three assists."
The roster includes:
Goalkeepers: Aubrey Bledsoe and Ashlyn Harris (FP-USA).
Defenders: Laura Alleway (INT’L-AUS), Josée Bélanger (FP-CAN), Steph Catley (INT’L-AUS), Kristen Edmonds, Monica Hickmann Alves (INT’L-BRA), Cami Levin, Toni Pressley.
Midfielders: Becky Edwards, Maddy Evans, Kaylyn Kyle (FP-CAN), Lianne Sanderson and Sam Witteman.
Forwards: Jamia Fields, Sarah Hagen, Alex Morgan (FP-USA) and Jasmyne Spencer.
There will be four federation players. Three international roster spots have been filled.
