ORLANDO, Fla. – The new Orlando City Stadium will use a bag policy similar to the one used in NFL stadiums, according to Orlando City Soccer.
Guests will be required to walk through metal detectors before entering the stadium, according to a news release, and will be allowed to carry only clear bags no larger than 12 inches by 12 inches or small purses measuring no more than 4 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches.
Diaper bags will not be allowed.
Orlando City Soccer upgraded its security protocols for the 2017 season at the new stadium.
The new stadium will open its doors early at 3 p.m. March 5 for Opening Day. Orlando City will play New York City FC in the first game at the new stadium. Kickoff is at 5 p.m. The game will air on ESPN.

The team recently unveiled 49 rainbow-colored seats in section 12 of the stadium to remember the victims of the June 12 shooting.
