The managers of the Panama Canal say they expect income from the waterway to drop, after authorities were forced to limit the number of ships passing through each to 32 due to a lack of rainfall.

Gen. Osama Rabei, head of the Suez Canal Authority, said in a statement. The Suez Canal Authority has said it welcomed international assistance. A maritime traffic jam grew to more than 200 vessels Friday outside the Suez Canal and some vessels began changing course.
