AdBrown drove off, fleeing to Saint Cloud, and the passenger jumped out of the vehicle but was apprehended, deputies said. Brown was arrested and taken to the Osceola County Department of Corrections.

ORLANDO, Fla. – A female student was carjacked Monday night near the University of Central Florida campus, according to UCF police. The armed carjacking was reported around 8:30 p.m. at Knights Circle, an off-campus housing complex that is in the jurisdiction of UCF police. Police said the woman’s blue 2016 Mazda 3 was stolen near Building 6 of the apartment complex, but she was not injured. “We are pleased to share that with the assistance of (Orlando police), this vehicle has been recovered,” the tweet said. ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was carjacked Sunday night in Orlando, police said. The theft happened around 8:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Orange Blossom Trail. According to Orlando police, the car owner left his keys inside his vehicle and when he returned, a gunman was in his car. The carjacker took off, but the car was stopped by police a short time later, officials said. Three people in the vehicle were detailed, according to police.

A man is in custody after attempting to carjack someone in Volusia County, according to the Volusia County Sheriffs Office. The incident happened at West New York Avenue and North Sheridan Avenue, according to authorities. They said a man jumped into a stopped vehicle and implied he had a weapon. After forcing the driver to drive, he jumped out of the vehicle and ran on foot, according to authorities. Authorities said they apprehended the carjacker minutes later and took him into custody.

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. Osceola County deputies are investigating a carjacking after they say a Florida Department of Transportation Road Ranger vehicle was stolen. Our Sheriffs helicopter responded to the area and with the help of (the Florida Highway Patrol) followed the vehicles GPS, deputies said. They were able to pick up the vehicle and maintain visual.The Polk County Sheriffs Office, Lakeland Police Department and FHP assisted with the incident. Lakeland PD spiked the vehicle and due to tire damage, (the) vehicle eventually came to a stop in Lakeland, deputies said. The suspect got out of the vehicle and was placed under arrest, officials said.
