As long lines for Orange County’s COVID-19 testing site at the Econ Soccer Complex spill out onto Colonial Drive, businesses say cars are blocking their entrances, causing frustration for customers and employees.

A testing site at the South Orange Youth Sports Complex opened Thursday.

Cars began lining up outside the Econ Soccer Complex before 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

It was a busy start at the Econ Soccer Complex COVID-19 testing site, which reopened Monday morning amid the rise in coronavirus cases across Central Florida.

Orange County Health Services announced on Wednesday the Econ Soccer Complex will reopen for drive-thru COVID-19 testing starting this week.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. Free coronavirus testing will continue next week at the Econ Soccer Complex. Testing is still on for Aug. 14 and will start up again on Aug 18 and will run through Aug. 21. The testing site shut down last week ahead of Tropical Storm Isaias, which was forecast to have significant impacts on Central Florida before it skirted the state at the last minute over the weekend. A number of state-run sites, including the Orange County Convention Center, also temporarily paused operations due to the storm. Testing at the Econ Soccer Complex, which is located at 8035 Yates Road in Orlando, will be available from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Friday, the release said. Anyone looking to be tested at the site must be 18 or older and live in Orange County.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. Orange County residents can soon receive a free COVID-19 test at Econ Soccer Complex. According to officials, Orange County Health Services will open its test site from July 27 to Aug. 1. The test site will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.To maximize communication with individuals about test results, individuals will have the option to receive text/phone and on the website to check results, officials said. Individuals must be 18 years and older, as well as be an Orange County resident, officials added. After receiving their test, residents will receive a free packet of face masks and hand sanitizer, according to a news release.
