Students at a Broward County high school walked out of the classroom Tuesday, one day after the district announced it was reassigning the school’s principal and several other staff members amid a probe into a transgender athlete.

State lawmakers will be meeting in December for a special session, according to a memo sent by the Florida Legislature on Tuesday.
