After a cold and frosty start Sunday, sunshine will once again dominate our skies. While it will be a little warmer than Saturday, highs will still struggle, only reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s.

That didn’t last long. As expected, a cold front is bringing clouds and showers back to Central Florida. Sunday, however, won’t be a total loss.

Sunshine will quickly get rid of any frost that has developed and help to warm our temperatures back to the mid 60s. High, thin clouds will gradually increase across Central Florida by the afternoon and evening. With a mix of clouds and sunshine, temperatures surge back into the 70s ahead of the next system. Temperatures Tuesday remain in the mid 70s before a cold front later in the day. There will be a high risk for rip currents again Sunday.

Clouds will be locked in for the first half of Saturday before sunshine gradually increases Saturday afternoon. A frost will be possible across most of Central Florida, especially for wind-protected areas. Frost potential Sunday morningCover up or bring in any sensitive plants as the frost/freeze can damage or kill them. With highs only in the upper 50s Saturday, it’s not the best beach day, but if your plans take you to the ocean watch out for rip currents. There will be a high risk for rip currents through at least Saturday afternoon.

There is now a Frost Advisory in Effect for everyone except Flagler, Coastal Volusia, and Brevard counties. Everyone else has the Frost Advisory until 8 a.m. Wednesday. Widespread Frost is to be expected. The high makes it back to 65, not normal, but much better than the 57 Central Florida had for a high today.
