The crash was reported near Greenwood Drive in Maitland around 6:25 p.m. Officials from the Florida Department of Transportation said there were 25 passengers on board the train at the time of the crash and none of them were injured. A SunRail train hit a vehicle that was on the tracks in Altamonte Springs Friday evening and at this point, it’s unknown if anyone was injured, according to Seminole County Fire Rescue.

A Seminole County worker was killed when a sidewalk collapsed in the Lake Mary area and three firefighters were left injured during the rescue efforts, according to the Seminole County Fire Rescue. We need help getting the sidewalk off of him, a witness said in a 911 call, adding that the man was stuck between the sidewalk and the water main. Three firefighters involved in the confined space rescue were taken to an area hospital to be treated for possible electrical shock. Seminole County Fire Rescue officials said the investigation into what happened is in the early stages. The Seminole County Sheriffs Office and the State Fire Marshals Office are investigating.
