Eatonville is not going to be the number one location for the site of a proposed new Florida Museum of Black History.

The town of Eatonville has made it onto the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s 2024 list of America’s most endangered historic places.

The Town of Eatonville is the oldest Black community in the United States, and officials hope that will play a large role in their decision to pick a location for the Florida Museum of Black History.

The 33rd annual Zora Fest! continued Friday with the beginning of its three-day Outdoor Festival of the Arts in Eatonville.

The 2022 Zora! Fest’s Outdoor Festival of the Arts has been pushed back to June due to COVID-19 concerns, according to The Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community (P.E.C.).

The 33rd ZORA! Festival, which runs through the month of January, is back again to honor Zora Neale Hurston with a month's worth of events starting on Jan. 7.
