Brian Lamont Potter Jr. dies from injuries in crash, police say

APOPKA, Fla. – Southbound U.S. 441 reopened after a crash left one man dead Monday night in Apopka.

According to Apopka police, Brian Lamont Potter Jr., 20, was weaving in and out of traffic when he lost control of his vehicle.

Potter was taken to Florida Hospital Apopka, where he died from his injuries.

Traffic was being diverted to South Lake Pleasant, but the southbound lanes later reopened.

Police said they do not suspect drugs or alcohol to have been a factor in the crash.
