LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Three young children who did not have seat belts on were injured during a two-vehicle crash in Lake County Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash involving a pickup truck and a Kia happened on State Road 44 at Whitney Road before 2 p.m.

The three children who were in the pickup truck are all under 5 years old, according to troopers. They were airlifted to Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A 2-year-old boy in the crash is in critical condition.
Four adults in the Kia were taken to a hospital and are expected to survive, troopers said.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of the pickup, Sarah Reid, 19, of Ocala, was ticketed for careless driving and child restraint violations.
