Kissimmee man killed in crash after car runs stop sign, FHP says

Fatal wreck reported on KOA Street near Poinciana Parkway

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A 55-year-old Kissimmee man was killed Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Osceola County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal wreck was reported around 9:10 p.m. on KOA Street at New Castle Road, just east of Poinciana Parkway.

The FHP said a car driven by a 42-year-old Kissimmee man was traveling south on New Castle Road and ran a stop sign. His car struck another vehicle, driven by the 55-year-old, who was heading west on KOA Street, according to an FHP crash report.

The 55-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, the FHP said.

The driver of the car that ran the stop sign was airlifted to Osceola Regional with serious injuries, the crash report stated.

Neither driver was wearing a seat belt, according to the FHP.
