WINTER PARK, Fla. – A 19-year-old was killed early Thursday morning in a fatal crash, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened around 12:40 a.m. on South Semoran Boulevard at University Park Drive, near Full Sail University.

Troopers said the 19-year-old Orlando man was crossing Semoran Boulevard when a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta struck the pedestrian.
According to the crash report, the pedestrian was not using a marked crosswalk when the crash occurred.

The man died on the scene and the driver of the Volkswagen was uninjured.
The FHP said the road was blocked in the area but was later reopened.
The crash is still under investigation.
