ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orlando man was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Wednesday on Sand Lake Road in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened around 3:45 a.m. on West Sand Lake Road near John Young Parkway in Orlando.

According to a crash report, a 2020 Kia Sedona was heading east on Sand Lake Road and tried to turn left onto John Young Parkway when it hit the front left of a 2010 Nissan Altima that was traveling west.
The crash caused the Nissan to go off the road and hit a pedestrian traffic signal. Troopers said the Nissan driver, a 48-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Kia ran away and troopers have spoken with the owner of the vehicle, though it is still being determined who was behind the wheel at the time of the wreck, FHP said.
