According to an FHP crash report, the sedan was traveling southbound in the right turn lane of SW 95th Circle as the pickup truck traveled westbound on CR 484. When the sedan entered the intersection, the front of the pickup truck hit its left side, troopers said. Both vehicles came to final rest at the south shoulder of CR 484, the report states.

The 20-year-old Ocala man driving the sedan suffered critical injuries in the crash and his passenger, the 18-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries, according to FHP. The third occupant of the sedan, a 2-year-old Ocala boy, suffered serious injuries in the crash, the report states. Neither the man nor the woman were wearing seat belts in the crash, troopers said, adding the boy was wearing a child restraint.

None of the pickup truck’s three occupants were injured in the crash, described by FHP as a 43-year-old man driving with a 38-year-old woman and 2-year-old boy riding as passengers, all from Minneola. The man and woman in the pickup truck were not wearing seat belts during the crash and the 2-year-old Minneola boy was wearing a child restraint, troopers said.
