As Hurricane Dorian makes its way toward Florida, parents are wondering whether their children will need to attend school after Labor Day.
Gov. Ron DeSantis said last week that the Florida Department of Education will post school closures on a special section of its website, FLDOE.org/hurricaneinfo.

That site will be updated as schools across the state and it also includes information about how to find a shelter and how to prepare your family for the storm.

K12 Districts
- Brevard County will be closed through Thursday.
- Flagler County will be closed Tuesday through Thursday.
- Florida Virtual School will be closed on Tuesday. Students will still be able to access courses.
- Indian River County will be closed Tuesday.
- Lake County will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Liberty County will be closed on Tuesday.
- Marion County Schools will be closed Tuesday through Friday.
- The Master's Academy will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Orange County will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Osceola County will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Polk County will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Seminole County will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Makeup days are October 17th and 18th.
- Sumter County will be closed Tuesday.
- Volusia County will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Florida College System
- Broward College, all campuses and partnership centers will close at noon Saturday until further notice.
- College of Central Florida will be closed Saturday through Tuesday.

- Eastern Florida State College will be closing at noon Thursday through Tuesday.
- Florida Gateway College will be closing Friday at 4:30 p.m. through Tuesday.
- Florida Institute of Technology will be closed Monday through Thursday.
- Florida Southwestern State College will be closed Sunday through Tuesday.
- Florida State College at Jacksonville all campuses and centers will be closing Saturday at noon through Tuesday.
- Hillsborough Community College will be closing Saturday at noon through Tuesday.
- Indian River State College will close Friday at 5 p.m. until further notice.
- Lake-Sumter State College will be closing Saturday at 5 p.m. through Wednesday.
- Miami Dade College will be closing Friday at 3 p.m. though Tuesday.
- Palm Beach State College will be closing at noon on Friday through Tuesday.
- Pasco-Hernando State College will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Polk State College will be closing Saturday through Wednesday.
- Rollins College will be closed until Wednesday.
- Santa Fe College will be closed Tuesday until further notice.
- Seminole State College of Florida will be closed Saturday at noon until further notice.
- South Florida State College will be Tuesday until further notice.
- St. John's River State College will be closed on Tuesday. A further update will be provided on Sunday.
- St. Petersburg College will be closed Tuesday until further notice.
- The College of the Florida Keys will be closed Saturday at noon until Tuesday.
- Valencia College will close at 5 p.m. Friday until Thursday. It will reopen on Friday.

- Bethune-Cookman University will be closed until Sunday.
- Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will be closed until 5 p.m. Wednesday.
- Florida A&M University satellite campuses will be closed through Tuesday.
- Florida Atlantic University will be closing at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
- Florida Gulf Coast University will be closed Tuesday.
- Florida International University classes are canceled Friday and Saturday at all FIU locations and online.
- Florida Polytechnic University will be closed Tuesday.
- Florida State University Regional Medical campus closed until Tuesday.
- Full Sail University will be closed Wednesday.
- New College of Florida will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
