Dodging a few scattered storms in Central Florida

Turning drier Sunday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Find the beach or the pool!

Temperatures will be in record territory again Saturday as highs surge into the mid-90s.

A few downpours will be possible along the coast before lunch. Look for a few storms to get going around I-95 after lunch and gradually moving toward I-4 through the middle of the afternoon.

Future radar

Rain and storm chances are at 40% Saturday. Other than a stray storm Sunday afternoon, most of Central Florida will be dry with highs again in the mid-to-upper 90s.

Beach forecast:

The beaches look mainly dry on both Saturday and Sunday. A storm or two will be possible late in the morning and early in the afternoon Saturday, but storms will quickly move inland, away from the beach. Highs top out in the upper 80s.

There is a moderate risk for rip currents.

The tropics remain quiet.
