Stalled front brings more storms to Central Florida

Orlando area to have severe weather threat from 2-9 p.m.

ORLANDO, Fla. – A stalled front in north Florida is bringing an increased coverage of rain to Central Florida all week.

As different disturbances ride along that front -- like on a train track -- rain chances will continue to be high each afternoon.

As the unstable atmosphere heats up each day, rain chances will stick around each afternoon through the evening hours.

Expect a risk of severe storms Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. The main threat would be strong winds up to 50 mph an hour, lightning and heavy rain that could lead to localized flooding.

Rain chances are up to 40% on Tuesday and 60% on Wednesday.

Rain chances remain high through the weekend.

Expect high temperatures in the low 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
