LIVE RADAR: Tropical moisture brings more rain into weekend

Highs in the low- to mid-90s

ORLANDO, Fla. – We continue to pinpoint high rain chances for the next several days as tropical moisture stays in place over Central Florida.

Eventually by the end of the weekend and the start of next week, we will see most of the energy and moisture moving away from Central Florida.

Expect a 70% coverage of rain for Friday and for Saturday.

Rain chances will be at 60% on Sunday and 50% for a good bit of next week.

Much like yesterday, we will see waves of on and off rain with some pockets of heavy downpours. A few of those downpours could lead to localized flooding.

We will also see the chance for some lightning as well as a few strong wind gusts.

High temperatures will be in the low- and mid-90s across much of Central Florida for the next several days.

Expect a high temperature of 93 in Orlando for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

It will feel more like 105 at times, when we aren’t dealing with the heaviest rain.

There will be rip currents at the beaches and seas up to about 2 feet just offshore.

In addition to the tropical moisture we are dealing with, the National Hurricane Center is watching another area of low pressure moving away from the Cabo Verde Islands.

It has a 10% chance of tropical development within the next two days and the 50% chance of tropical development within the next seven days.

This area of low pressure by the end of next week and the start of next weekend, could move just north of the Lesser Antilles and Puerto Rico.

It is still something to watch to see if it could make any sort of turn closer to the island of Puerto Rico or even closer to the U.S. mainland. We will continue to keep an eye on it.
