Break those sweaters back out: Front bringing cooler weather to Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – Fall lovers, rejoice!

The coolest air since spring has settled into Central Florida.

With the help of sunshine, highs will top off in the low to mid-70s Tuesday afternoon in the Orlando area.

While it won’t be as cool Wednesday morning, it will still be jacket-worthy, with temperatures starting in the 50s and low 60s.

Wednesday will start a warming trend through the end of the workweek. Under mostly sunny skies, highs return to the upper 70s and lower 80s.

The low 80s return Thursday and Friday. The next shot at rain also arrives Friday with another cold front that will bring slightly cooler air back to Central Florida next week.

Tropics Update

A disturbance between the Lesser Antilles and the Cabo Verde Islands has a high chance to become the next tropical depression of the season.

Interests in the Caribbean should monitor the progress of this system, but it is not a threat to the U.S.

There are no tropical threats to Florida.

The next named storm will be Tammy.

Hurricane season ends Dec. 1.
