Through the afternoon hours, scattered heavy rain is expected to develop. Expect the rain after 3 p.m. lasting into tonight.

This is much-needed rain. It’s not going to rain all day, but some cities are expected to receive a good soaking rain which will help with the abnormally dry conditions. Some cities are expected to pick up between .5-2 inches with locally higher rain totals.
Rain chances stay moderate to high through the week with daily afternoon highs in the lower-to-middle 90s.
