LAKE WORTH, Fla. – Suppliers of baby arugula sold by Publix have voluntarily recalled one lot of the leafy greens which have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella, according to Green Life Farms.
In a statement, Lake Worth-based Green Life Farms said that the recall applies to 4-ounce containers of its baby arugula marked with Lot No. LW15124, as would be stamped on the top of the containers. No illnesses connected to the baby arugula have been reported, the statement reads, adding the products were for sale at select Publix and Publix GreenWise Market locations starting on May 31 and would have a sell-by date of June 15.

Routine testing by Green Life Farms uncovered the presence of salmonella in a single harvest of the baby arugula, prompting the company to take immediate corrective action, according to the statement. Additional harvests remain unaffected, the statement reads.
Most people with a salmonella infection will experience diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps, symptoms which usually start within six hours to six days after infection and last from four to seven days, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Customers who purchased Green Life Farms baby arugula marked with the lot code mentioned above are urged to return the products to where they bought it for a full refund. Those with questions may contact the company by calling 1-888-213-9603 or by emailing info@greenlifefarms.ag.
