SARASOTA, Fla. – With Hurricane Milton closing in on Florida’s Gulf Coast, News 6 reporter Erik Von Ancken has responded to Marina Jack in Sarasota to survey the area.
Tornado and flash flood warnings have been issued across the region thanks to supercells spawned during Milton’s approach.
Milton is expected to make landfall late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning and then move off the east coast of Florida over the Atlantic Ocean by Thursday morning or afternoon. As Milton moves inland, the storm is expected to grow in size, expanding the reach of its strongest winds.
